<p>Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop 997 is located in
Ashburn, Virginia and is proud to be affiliated with
<a target="_blank"
href="http://www.sttheresa-ashburn.org/">St. Theresa
Catholic Church</a>. We are a boy-run, non-denominational,
organization dedicated to instilling the principles of Boy
Scouting into all those willing to learn. Our adult
leaders act simply as advisors to the boys.</p>

<li>Citizenship Training</li>
<li>Mental and Physical Fitness</li>

<p class="listleader">The activities of the troop are
designed to be instructive, challenging, and fun. They fall
into three main areas:</p>

<li>Weekly Troop Meetings with Patrol activities</li>
<li>Monthly Outings</li>
<li>Annual Summer Camp</li>

<li>18 will develop hobbies that will last through their
adult lives</li>
<li>1 will use his Boy Scout skills to save his own
life</li>
<li>1 will use his Boy Scout skills to save someone
else's life</li>
<li>17 will become Scouting volunteers</li>
<li>2 will become Eagle Scouts</li>
